I NEED HELP WITH GEOGRAPHY/HISTORY

How on earth are you supose to stay attentive when your teacher makes the easiest thing so boring it becomes super hard if he personality i wouldnt be posting this but how do you stay awake/ALIVE when you do the same thing over and over again and again??????

real example:
for history this is his SUPER 'GOOD'(not really) TECHNIQUE
READ CHAPTER W.E
COPY OVERVIEW OF CHAPTER
QUESTIONS OF CHAPTER(usually including find terms of twenty words)
then he does it not stop help me stay awake

3 out of 4 of my civics teachers have been some of my fav teachers ever....
Steel would know mr. ward aka Jesus.

But just skim the chapters and write notes down and ask questions, history is my fav!

i like history and geography dont get me wrong its just how my teacher is at my old school i used to get 80's everything but now i am getting 60's and shit i can deal with math and english i stay awake fine cause i 'use' to actually do it for fun

To stay awake I'd just suck it up and do it. Quite frankly I've found that in life there is no way to "stay awake" unless you entertain myself. I find that my methods of entertaining myself aren't acceptable in a classroom lol. And no, don't get the wrong idea by that statement, It's not dirty. I'm just saying that you're gonna have to find a way to get through one class. How long is it? An hour? Just keep your eye on the clock and get your way through it. The year is almost over, just keep working and you'll get through it and (hopefully) have a better teacher next year.

man i can`t believe in my school geography was the most hardest subject ever! i mean for me at least you know. :bounce:

I have the same problem in my class so here is what I do.

Do half of the work and the do something you really like and then do the rest.

If this doesn't help, then just let me know.

My History and Geography teacher is the best in the world, especially when he comes to school after a heavy night of drinking.

Yeah, mine is awesome too. There was some kid who was supposed to get a 7 day suspention, and my History teacher didn't even do anything about it. No call home, no office refferal, no nothing.

my history teacher is awesome. Always jokes around and usually allows us to play. JUst like your teacher rpgfan she's very laid back and doesn't yell at kids for bad things they do.

Like I said history teachers are the best.

Luckies. My History teacher sucks balls. She sits there and has us take notes all day, which are pre-written so we have to zoom through it. She later yells at everyone about...Everything. Mainly when she agrees on the other side. Here is an example (this actually happened):

Student1- (Something about Obama)

Teacher- (Random yelling) "OPINIONS ARE DIFFERENT THAN FACTS" (more random yelling)
Next day:

Student2- (Not 100% sure what he said, but it had to do with Anti-Obama)

Teacher- (Random yelling) "OPINIONS ARE BASED ON FACTS" (of course, more yelling)

Student1- "Oh, so NOW they're different."


Sorry I didn't remember the first quotes, but she seriously yelled at each one of them for about 10 minutes.

Last year my US History Teacher made the class awesome and fun but this year I had this naggy old lady for World History and she made everything sound so boring! And if I started to draw she would get mad because I wasnt paying attention to her boring lectures or something! Teachers, what can we do about them...

My teacher is awesome he makes history awesome but know i got a nagging stuck up bitch

history is tight my favorite subjects but it's at the end of the school day and most of my teacchers are so boring when i get to history i can't focus that much because i am so bored and now i am almost failing that class and i can't get my credits to graduate :-(

Well, in our school, freshmen take modern world history. I think government is for juniors, but im not sure.

I think that it is for seniors in my school and because freshmens dosen't have history but we get it in the last 2 years of high school but I don't know how I got in government
