High school 2nd year, Amano Yukiteru, is a boy who has problem making friends. He thinks of himself as a bystander and will always write down everything he sees in a cell phone diary. Tormented by solitude, Yukiteru began to imagine things like a friend called Deus X Makina who is apparently the Lord of Time & Space. Seeing Yukiteru's miserable state, Deus gives him a new ability. His diary will now record events that will happen in the near future. Yukiteru is then forced to participate in a game which the winner will become Deus's successor. The game is a survival game in which the 12 contestants will need to use their diaries to kill off the other members in order to win. Each diary has a different power and will show something different. Yukiteru's diary records and shows him events that happen around him, while another is used to show criminal activity, and one is used to display escape routes.

This series is fucked up. Easily the most main character mass killing of any manga I've read. Lots and lots of people die. So if you do decide to read this, try not to get to attached to some of the characters. It doesn't become much of a mindfuck until the later chapters but plays on your brain through the entire series.
