| You know, with all the movies and video games coming out, do you guys really think reading is a good way of enterteinment anymore? Like seriously, the last time I read a book for fun was like a year ago and I think that was The Spiderwick Chronicles which they made a movie of...
So, now I'm getting you thinking. Who the heck reads nowadays?

| I only like books that are a part of a series that has a really good plot and remeberable characters. | |

| I still read. Admittedly, over the last couple of weeks I've substituted DS for my books but what with my broken DS it looks like I'm back to the books. When really good books come out though (e.g. the Inheritance Cycle ones) I can't put them down. So I disagree, books are still a form of entertainment for people who want them. | |

| Well have you thought of this, right now you are reading this for fun so technically you are reading for fun all the time.

| It's just different with a bunch of pages full of words. I'd say that video games and whatnot should have similar wording as a book...as in big words. | |

| I like reading more than watching a movie, not sure why, it's just who I am.
Like, the book I just read was Simon Says, completely changed my outlook in people.

| Lol a bit random but has anyone seen Michael McIntyre's stand-up about jokes? It really made me laugh. He says how people tell him that books are real page turners, and that he replies, 'Well, yes, that's the least I expect from a book really - that the pages turn.' If you can find it on YouTube then watch it! Anyway... I'm on laptop right now, Roboto, but it's nowhere near as compact as a book. I can't curl up with it (as camp as that may sound) and I can't just take it with me and flick it open for a bit of a read whenever I fancy. Plus, books don't run out of battery. | |

| OK I love reading. IDK where I'd be in life without books actually. I just finished the 5th book of "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series. Spectacular. You guys should read it if you dont already. Harry Potter was great, Lord of the Rings was great, and yes, unfotunately, (here comes the "fag33t!" comments) twilight was good too. Plus I love authers such as Mike Lupica who make fiction novels about sports (not like fantasy, I guess you'd call it realistic fiction). Lastly I'm a HUGE fan of S.E. Hinton. She's a great author. OK, that wraps up my FAVORITE books. I have a lot of others that I read too but these are the big ones. | |

I agree, I know I put it, but I guess it is really more of a figure of speech. I like to lie on my front on my bed and stretch out. Reading is also far better when you have sweets or chocolate at your side!

Are you sure you read the fifth one because the last one I read was Battle of the Labyrinth and it is the 4th in the series. If the 5th came otu then Im going to Borders ASAP Btw, I never said I dont like reading, its just that with everything else in the world I cant seem to find the time. Also, if a movie comes out based on a book, I would always rather watch the movie!

You can make up the images in your head, and lots of the time alot of movies dont catch that because of the directors lack of imagination...

| Plus movies often miss out important or good bits of books. I love the Eragon books (collectively known as the Inheritance Cycle) but the film missed out too much of the book, so it's now pretty much impossible for the film makers to create a film for the sequel. | |

| I'm currently reading a few different books, as I get bored with just one book at a time, I usually finish four by the end of a course of a week.
This week my books include: Richard III, A Clockwork Orange, The God Delusion (I'm re-reading it, after getting a basic understanding of what Dawkins was talking about, I'm going in for specifics) and Always Running.
I thoroughly enjoy reading seeing as its a lot more enlightening than T.V.

| I don't really read books that actually tell stories unless I can't fall asleep or I'm at Barnes & Noble but I do read a lot of "How To" Books and Manuals and what not (though most of them just teach me crazy stupid stuff that will probably never be useful but worth a great laugh) just 2 days ago I was reading the Ninja Handbook and now I'm reading The Heroin Diaries, i also look up and read a lot of stuff on wikipedia as an affective method of conquering boredom :] | |

| Reading is great. Certain books are ruined by movies and video games (seriously, about 99% of movie video games are awful)
Reading is a lot better as you can think of the characters' appearance yourself.

| i definitely like to read, but too often tv or internet take priority. plus, im a fast reader, so i go through books and then am out of things to read, so i stop reading for a while. thats books at least. im a big magazine/paper reader, and i regularly read Vanity Fair, Entertainment Weekly, and National Geographic. I read the Wall Street Journal sometimes, and the San Francisco Chronicle, my more local paper, even though the writing is going downhill. | |

| I think reading is the best form of entertainment because you make up your own pictures instead of watching pictures made by other people. My favorite books are the Inheritance Cycle and Harry Potter.

Re-read your books. That's what I do.

- OK I love reading.
Yes the fifth one already came out and I think is called The Final Olympian. nope, it's the last olympian. I've only read this series of books by choice the rest all school crap, I still need the last two books and those side books though. I'd be excited about the movie coming out about it but the teaser trailer didn't really do much for me so gotta wait for another one

| You guys should read "My Life as a Fake" by Peter Carey. Brilliant book, for older readers. None of this fantasy crap. | |
