What is your favourite book or series?

Mine would be the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.

I really like the Pendragon series. It's a long series, but it is really good and has an intereasting plot.

Inheritance Cycle - the lazy person's Lord of the Rings.

I picked LOTR up once and gave up 5 pages in cause the language was so flowery and OTT. The Inheritance Cycle though is awesome, and my friend who's read both says they're similar genres.

Well, I really really like the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series.

I also like the Midnighters and the Inheritance Cycle. Oh, and not to mention umm...whatever trilogy The Golden Compass, The Amber Spyglass, and the knife was part of.

Yeah, they were OK books, but after a while I got annoyed with them cause it was always filled with impossible crap so you just read them knowing that nothing was going to go wrong.
If you like the teen spy kind of genre, go for the CHERUB books. They're much better IMO.

I liked the first 3 books. Then i realized that the main character (don't remember his name) escaped and acomplished all these iimpossible things or tasks. I think it was meant more for 10-11 year olds.

His name was Alex Rider, as they were the Alex Rider books

But yeah, I admit that they were probably aimed at pre-teens.

The Pendragon series is too repetitive. I got bored and stopped, halfway through the 8th book.
My favorite series is probably the War of the Spider Queen or something, and my favorite book is maybe Un Lun Dun? :/ I think I'm forgetting some.

Harry Potter, His Dark Materials and some others. Although I'm not a fan of fantasies, LotR is a great series, and the films were excellent.

I liked the Cirque du Freak books as well. For me at least they were the most gripping of all the Darren Shan stuff I've read.
