Gengar or Mismagius?

A few days ago I found my Pokemon Pearl game, and I am planning out a team. So far I have Infernape, Blastoise, Roserade, Blissey, and Dragonite.
But what I am having trouble with is choosing a Ghost-Type I can use.
The two Pokemon I have to choose from at the moment are Gastly and Misdreavus. And what I am asking of all of you is for you to help me decide which of the two I should use.

And if possible, I would like a reason why you think I should use the specific one. But not just because you think it's cool or is strong, more on how it might work well with my other Pokemon.

Considering you're using this for in-game reasons, I fail to see why you need a reason to use the Ghost-type other than the fact that you think one is cooler than the other. I personally like Mismagius more. Bottom line, if you want more speed and power, but more frailty, go for Gengar. If you want decent speed and power, with more bulkiness, go for Mismagius.

I gotta agree with Slash.
For in game purposes, it almost couldn't matter less which you choose.
I'd go for mismagius, simply because its cuter cooler.
And I find bulk to be slightly more important then sheer power for in game.

That, and Mismagius has Calm Mind.

I am not trying to make this any more serious than it needs to be.
I just want to take a coordinated path through the game, nothing more.

Ok, then go for Mismagius here. Your team is rather bulky, and if you add her, you'll have an easier time setting up Calm Minds and defeating the E4 members. If you give Blissey Thunderwave, then you can potentially sweep Cynthia.

The Dratini I just traded over has ThunderWave. I'll just use that.

As of now I have decided to obtain and use Misdreavus. I'd like to ask a mod to lock this, the last thing a guy like me who is insane about dead thread bumpers is a recently finished thread I made that no one will close.

why don't you use the one that you like the most, personally i like the both but in my opinion you should get the one that you like more...
