Leading is my weakest aspect usually, so I decided to use an idea from "The Smog" and throw this mudpuppy (if you're confused, look up swampert's origin on bulbapeda):
Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP/216 Def/52 SAtk
Relaxed nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
Standard Mixpert, but I'm using it as a lead. Only real threat is Explosion from Metagross, but my solution to that is a bit later.
---
Next, to ward off the grass-type attacks that would inevitably com, as well as to have a physical sweeper, I decided to go with:
Scizor (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 32 HP/252 Atk/224 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Swords Dance
- Brick Break
- X-Scissor
Simple strategy: come in on an attack meant for someone else, boost up, and fire bullet punches away. Brick Break is for dualscreeners and does decently to others. x-Scizzor is for grass-types, notably celebi.
---
Since Scizor is simply begging for a fire move to incinerate him, i needed a reliable partner:
Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Flamethrower
- Explosion
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse
Standard revenge killer, except i used DP instead of Hidden Power for neutral coverage and Salamence. I switch him in on fire attacks aimed at scizor.
---
Next, to cover Heatran's weakness to Ground and Fighting type moves, as well as some fire types who snuck past Heatran, i went with a Platinum pokemon:
Rotom-w @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Hydro Pump
- Trick
Thunderbolt is for water and flying types (obviously), Shadow Ball is for the Psychic and Ghost types that populate OU (Latias, Celebi, other Rotom, etc.), and Hydro Pump is for the aforementioned Ground type pokemon that beat Heatran. Rotom also has one other use: absorbing explosions without harm.
---
To protect against Rotom's weaknesses, Ghost and Dark, I went with someone who not only beats both of these types, but is also my all-time favorite pokemon:
Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 176 HP/252 Atk/80 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Superpower
- Fire Punch
What? No Pursuit? Well, my theory is that Pursuit on a Choice Pokemon takes too much prediction and risk, and my play style just doesn't work like that. As for Superpower, I did it to take down A)other tyranitar and B) Blissey, as well as to provide nearly unresisted coverage with Crunch. I am considering Pursuit over Fire Punch, which I have for Scizor, Skarmory and Forretress. My other idea was for mixed, but not sure what to do.
---
Finally, to add a) a water resistance, b) wish support, and c) another defensive pokemon, I went with another water type:
Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP/252 Def/68 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Electric]
Standard wish vaporeon, with Hidden Power to take down Gyarados and other Water-types.

Truest words ever said.

Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.

This isn't a book related topic. Someone should get this topic locked.
