Ubers, OU, UU,or NU?

Someone had to make this topic, so we can have a propor discussion.

I vote, UU.

Ubers and OU are kind of centralized, haven't played UU much. So I guess I'll vote NU. I've played NU awhile, and I like it.

I don't like Ubers, but I play with whatever I like. Hypno, Infernape, Spinda, Sceptile, I like pretty much all Pokemon and use what I feel like. The only difference is I know how these Pokemon work, like Sunflora can't be using Hyper Beam and Iron Tail or some crap like that.

i enjoy UU but i play with my OU teams a lot more

When I feel competitive I play OU. That is where the most competition is. I play in OU to win, not to be original. I don't agree with the mentality of using so many UUs and NUs in the OU tier, because the simple fact is that, in most cases, the Pokemon is outclassed by something that is OU. When I play UU / NU, then I use my favorites. I rarely play ubers, but when I do, I again just go for the win. Ubers is actually really fun. I once heard a comparison of Ubers Pokemon and chess; you pretty much know what the opponent has, and he knows what you have. Whoever executes their strategy better will win.

With all that said, OU is my favorite lol because I'm a competitive person :)

I like OU, but I don't like it when everyone just whores the OU-est of all OU pokemon. Yet...that's what makes them win :/

People should be whoring OU Pokemon. We are competitive here: We do what it takes to win. However, I do not agree with your statement of whoring the "OU-est" of all OU Pokemon, Tsutanai. You make it sound like that automatically putting the Top 6 OU Pokemon together in a team automatically makes it good. That is not true. Almost every Pokemon has a niche in its respective tier. Professional players choose the options that fit in best with their teams, not the options that are the best generally. There's a lot of thought involved with making a good OU Team, unlike what most people seem to think here. However, I will acknowledge that it is possible to create UU/NU Teams that can win in OU. However, in doing so you are likely not using the best options, and thus a team is not nearly as good as it should be.

I generally just play in the OU tier.
Doesn't always mean my team is all OU, though.

To Kir and PF, I see that you guys love competition, and (almost) no originality. But you have to respect that some people here play pokemn for fun, not to only win. Where you, ciaran and kir come from (as in another forum), i bet that it is very competative there, but here, at the SOS brigade forum,we are pretty laid back, and (mostly) play for fun ( unless it is a tourney or league match).

I've nothing against originality. In fact, I actually encourage it. It's just that, be original in a good way. But OK, I'll stop nitpicking at people for liking to jazz up the OU Metagame.

I know what you mean. Some people here use UU's/Nu's because they suck at OU,but, in reality, they suck at UU/NU too.

Well, at least one person.

NU. You can read OUs like a book. But not NU since there never used. Therefore you have advantages. ;D

I vote UU, because everyone uses OU and it get repetitive as hell. NU's are almost never used for their stats.

I stick to OU, unless there's a UU tourney, then I go to my UU team.
But my OU team is mixed with UU, and I do pretty fine.
