My friend who had a shiny rayquasa and groudon said that if you save infront of it then turn it off and keep repeating these steps that soon it will turn shiny?

No really? I don't think anyone knows that.We should spread the word.
Sorry for sarcasm but everyone knows that,it's called soft reseting,almost everyone with legit shiny pokes does that.
