Trading over Wi-Fi is a common practice ever since the release of Diamond/Pearl. Here are the basic guideline to make your trading experience better on this forum.
#1: COMMON SENSE: If the trading topic looks sketchy then take caution.
Example:
Post 1: EVERYONE GIVE ME YOUR SHINY POKEMON I WILL CLONE IT AND SPREAD THE LOVE. ALL I'M ASKING FOR IS YOUR SHINY! I WILL TRADE YOU A BIDOOF AND YOU WILL GET IT BACK WHEN I'M DONE!
If there's something that might look similar to that then it's probably a scam. Report it to a nearby mod and actions will be taken accordingly.
If you DO get scammed by a rather clever scammer (not a word?) then then report to a mod A.S.A.P. We will do our best and take the necessary action.
There is no possible way we can get your scammed Pokemon back but we MIGHT be able to PokeSAV you a Pokemon close to the original depending on the situation.
#2: It's a good idea to make trade threads of the "Want" and "Have" list. This will make trading A LOT easier and there will be less confusion. Always ask for details about the Pokemon you might be interested in. If you don't then it will be YOUR fault that you get a Modest TRU Shaymin as opposed to a Timid one.
#3: Friend code: An awesome idea to have either in your sig or on your trading topic so people don't spend 10 posts wondering.
#4: Have fun. There should NEVER be conflicts in the trade board since the point of trading is to have fun and make friends.
