The Official 'How to Play' World of Warcraft Thread

This is the official how to play thread, and I will be showing you how to download and how to get started and get ready to play WoWgasm(World of Warcraft Private Server).

Here's How:

1. Go to this link right here -> http://www.wowgasm.org/main/downloads.html

2. Download WoWgasmic Launcher 2009(or 2010, it might be updated after I make this post) this shouldn't take long.

3. After you have downloaded the Launcher, Download the Latest WoW Patch, This may take 2 hours + depending on your internet connection. Be patient, the wait is worth it.

4. After the download has finished, There should be an option to patch the game, patch it to the most recent version. do this, this doesn't take long whatsoever, it may take up to an hour at most.

5. Once you have all of the above done, Find the WoWgasmic Launcher, put it in your World Of Warcraft Directory, which should have files looking similar to this here:


5.5. Finding this Folder is Easy, All you have to do is go to Computer, then Search World Of Warcraft. The icon for the folder should look like any other, except with a little picture icon in the corner. it looks kind of like this:


6. Next, Go to the main site: http://www.wowgasm.org/main/index.html in the top left-hand corner it should say "Your Quest is Complete" underneath the description, It should say Join Now. Click the Join Now Button.

7. There should be a 3-Step menu-type thing. On the first block, there's a button under it's description, there's a Create Account button. Click it.

8. After that, there should be a WoWgasm Agreement, Underneath it, there should be an I Agree and an I Disagree button, Click on I Agree

9. The Website goes to a registration screen, fill in your details and the captcha, then make your expansion Wrath of the Lich King. After that, click Create Account.

10. Once you've created your account, Open the Launcher and Click Play, Log into your username and password. Make a Character, be sure to play as an Alliance Character so you can join our Guild(This means choosing a Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome, or Dreinei Character), and join the Frostmourne PvE server, you have now started the server, be sure to have fun playing alongside us!
