Rate My Team: Sandstorm Team

So after some thinking I decided to make a Sandstorm team. After a few recent battles it has worked out well or me, but I'm looking to take it further and improve it as much as possible. So here it is:



Hippowdon@Leftovers
Nature - Impish
Ability - Sandstream
EV's - 252 HP, 168 Def, 88 SpD

~Earthquake
~Slack Off
~Stealth Rock
~Roar

So this is probabloy the standard Sandstrom Team lead (besides Tyranitar). It can take hits well and sets up Stealth Rock. TI can then Roar away to get some damage on other opposing team members and to scout what they're packing. Slack Off allows me to get some health back, as this thing is practically a defensive wall. Earthquake is my only attack, but it has STAB, and can do a reasonable amount of damage. People can predict this and send in a Flying type, but I can just Roar it away as Flying types can do very much against Hippowdon.

Ability - Inner Focus
EV's - 252 SpA, 252 Spe, 6 HP

~Dragon Pulse
~Hidden Power (Ice)
~Shadow Ball

As ground and rock types are mainly Physical attackers I thought I needed something to take care of Physical walls etc. There was a couple of Pokemon to chose from, but I chose Lucario because of it's wide movepool. Aura Sphere gets STAB. Dragon Pulse I wasn't too sure about considering I have HP Ice. But I'm willing to take all suggestions. HP Ice is mainly for type ocverage and Shadow Ball is for those Pesky Ghost and Psychic types that usually come in on Lucario.

Dancing Tank. This thing can take some punishment, which allows me to set up some SD's in the process, then get some health back with Roost, and then sweep with Earthquake and Swords Dance. Standard Set I think
Not much to say about this thing really.

No sandstorm team is complete without this beast. With Solid Rock, and the Sandstorm Defense Boost, also not to mention the awesome base 130 Defense. AND with a gargantuan 140 Base Attack with 2 very powerfull STAB moves. Use this thing right and it could be un-stoppable. Had a little trouble with the movese, so I threw Toxic in because it can take Physical hits EXTREMELY well. and Protect just so I can Scout what my opponents going to do next. I love this Ugly mound of rock.

Nature - Modest
Ability - Torrent
EV's - 12 HP, 232 Spe, 252 SpA

~Agility
~Substitute
~Surf
~Grass Knot

My LGA (Late game abuser). This thing has saved my ass alot of times. Can be very dominant near the end of the match. Sub down till the Petaya Berry boost taking any opportunity to get an Agility up. Surf is my main attack because of STAB, and Grass Knot is for type coverage.
